What is Phishing?
Phishing is a form of social engineering. In this type of cybercrime, one or more targets are contacted via email, telephone, or text message by someone posing as a legitimate institution. Their purpose is to lure individuals into providing sensitive data such as personally identifiable information, banking and credit card details, and passwords. Nowadays, it is far easier for a criminal to manipulate you to do something than it is to manually hack into your computer or your company’s network.
